Who Was Buddha: A Brief History about the Life of Buddha

The life of the Buddha started almost 2,600 years ago in Lumbini, a small town near Nepal. The real name of Buddha was Siddharta Gautama. He was a born prince but he soon realized that with this title, he won’t be able to attain lasting happiness.
Hence, after a tiresome spiritual search through deep meditation, he unfolded the true nature of the mind. At last, he achieved a state of unconditional and lasting happiness. This was the state of enlightenment, which led to the rise of Buddhahood or Buddhism.
